Upgrade Considerations

Upgrading from R.6.6 and older to R7.x

1. To upgrade to R7.0 and above from pre 7.0 release requires the creation of a new license list. 
2. A new license key must be requested and provision by OnePlace Solutions prior to your release 7 upgrade.  
3. The license list can be added to SharePoint 2010, 2013, or 365 servers. The license key can not be added to a SharePoint 2007 server. (It is still possible to upload to a SharePoint 2007 server)
4. Current versions (prior to R7.0) of OnePlaceMail and Productivity Tools must be uninstalled prior to upgrading to OnePlace Solutions R7.0
5. OnePlaceMail Plugins (API) will not work with R7.0 (it will be available soon in a future point release)
6. All user settings, including visual customizations will be migrated (if upgrading from R6.1 or greater), except for Recent locations
7. It is recommended to perform configuration updates via OnePlaceLive rather than manual config_update.xml deployment
8. It is recommended the rollout of organization wide favorites and business solutions should be performed via OnePlaceLive Solution profiles
9. The msi files and associated switches have changed in R7.0 - please refer to the installation documentation
