OnePlaceMail General Settings

The options to be configured here are applicable to OnePlaceMail only. These changes do not affect OnePlaceDocs

Outlook

Prompt to 'Save to SharePoint' when adding an attachments to the email:

The user is prompted to save an attachment to ShaerPoint when adding the file to an email.

Prompt to 'Save to SharePoint when sending an email

When selecting the standard 'send' button in Outlook, the user can be prompted to save the email to SharePoint

Data Location

The OnePlaceMail data location allows the user to access SharePoint locations directly from Outlook.

When installing OnePlaceMail, a PST will be created by default. The PST is created in the user profile, and does not store any data.

Options:

  • OnePlaceMail Data File - Local user profile (recommended)

Stored in the local user profile, under c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\OnePlaceSolutions directory.

  • OnePlaceMail Data File - Roaming user profile

Required if roaming profiles have been enabled on the network, or when Citrix / TS solutions have been implemented

Stored in the local user profile, under c:\users\<username>\appdata\roaming\OnePlaceSolutions directory.

  • Default Data File

Stores the OnePlaceMail folders in the default mailbox, this option can be used when creation of PST files have been disabled.
