Email site columns
The capture of rich metadata provides for better classification of content and best practice enterprise content management. The availability of metadata means views can be created and SharePoint search can be used more effectively to return content.
1. Deploy email columns
Add the OnePlace Solution email columns via SharePoint PnP
2. Add columns to content type
The email columns can be added to an existing content type or a new content type can be created.
1. From Site Settings, select Site Content Types
2. Browse to an existing content type, or select 'Create ' to create a new email content type
3. Name the content type and select OK
4. To add the recently added site columns, select 'Add from existing Site Columns'
3. Add the Email Content type to document libraries
OnePlaceMail app will capture email attributes and promote these to columns. This delivers enhanced search and ability to work create views with email metadata.
1. Browse to the required document library
2. Select Library Settings, Advanced Settings
3. Select 'Allow Management of content types", Select OK
4. Select 'Add from existing content types'
5. Add the email content type previously created.
