What's New 8.6

The new OnePlace Solutions Release 8.6 (R8.6) enhances the document management experience. This release delivers the ability to create documents directly from the desktop or Outlook.

R8.6.1

  • Users are able to retry to obtain a Subscription Id.

  • Resolved an issue when 'Favorite' locations selected multiple times in the Outlook Navigation pane, returning an error

  • Resolved an issue when copying a document from one location to another and metadata from source location applied to new location

  • Ability to create documents from OnePlaceDocs & OnePlaceMail, including support for document content types (M365 Only) 

  • Ability to add sharing links when inserting a link via OnePlaceMail 'Insert to SharePoint'

  • Ability to configure the 'Enable Overwrite' when saving to SharePoint to be enabled by default

  • When selecting 'View item in browser' via OnePlaceMail or OnePlaceDocs, the link will now open the document rather than document properties

  • Solution Profiles : Search Location items can now be returned and ordered with the date the item was created

  • Solution Profiles: When defining a descendant location, it is now possible to select the item to a specific view in the library

  • Solution Profiles: Shortcut item - it is now possible to select the shortcut to show a specific view in the library

  • Pre-Requisite updated to NET 4.7.2 minimum

  • Resolved an issue when upgrading from an older release and favorite locations have spaces in url

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to connect to a location in a central register where a space exists

  • Resolved an issue where PDF applications were not SharePoint Aware

  • Resolved issue on pdf file extension when inserting a document to email and converting to pdf format

  • Resolved an issue where it was only possible to customize one application to be 'SharePoint Aware' via the Configuration Profile

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to save to a library in a sub site where the name of the sub site and library are the same

  • Resolved an issue when saving to a hierarchy exceeding 400 characters

  • Resolved an issue where Enterprise Keywords can not be created

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to perform a search in a central register and the search is completed against the site of the register

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to save to a folder with an apostrophe in the folder location

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to select 'Replace this file with file in SharePoint'  & the file includes a period in the filename

  • Resolved an issue when attempting to save to a location which belongs to a subsite that has a & in url
