OnePlaceMail App - Admin Deployment Upgrade

The OnePlaceMail App is now Ideagen Mail Manager!

There has been an important upgrade to the OnePlaceMail App (modern web add-in) - now Ideagen Mail Manager that requires your immediate attention. If the OnePlaceMail App has been centrally admin-deployed prior to September 17th, 2025, a Microsoft 365 Azure administrator is required to complete an update to the OnePlaceMail App in the Admin Center.

This upgrade is essential for activating this new feature which relies on event-based activation, where an admin must accept the changes being made to the OnePlaceMail App. This is also required for the App name and icons to reflect the rebranding to Ideagen Mail Manager.

Attention: If users have deployed the old version of the OnePlaceMail App as a single user, via AppSource or the in-app Microsoft store, prior to the newer manifest being deployed (September 17th 2025), then they will receive no notification to upgrade to the new version. As such, best practice is for a Microsoft 365 administrator to centrally deploy the OnePlaceMail App to users via the Microsoft 365 admin center. Complete the required pending update via the Admin Center

For enhanced functionality and optimised user experience, please follow the instructions below to complete the required upgrade via the Admin Center where the OnePlaceMail App has already been centrally deployed:

1. Log into the Microsoft 365 admin center

2. Select Settings > Integrated Apps

3. Find or search for the “Ideagen Mail Manger for Outlook"

4. You will see that there is an ‘Update pending’ for the Ideagen Mail Manager App

5. Select/Click the App to open the deployment details. Select ‘Know more and update’ button.

6. You can see further information of the changes, which involves working with events in the app. Please click ‘Accept and update’ to accept the changes and upgrade the App.

7. Wait for the update to complete. Click Done once finished.

8. The upgrade is now complete. To confirm, Status will be ‘OK’.

It may take up to 12 hours for the upgrade to take effect. Please wait 24 hours before submitting a ticket to the Ideagen OnePlace Solutions Support team.
